Emiliana Stein was born in Boston, MA and lives in New Orleans, LA. She primarily works with acrylics, resins and upcycled objects. Her subject matter is the human figure dialing in on polyamourous relationships, deconstructing the hierarchy of gender and examining personal growth. Since Stein arrived in New Orleans she has been working as a freelance artist. While painting is her main passion, she is also a costume designer. Her design for Krewe Des Fleurs, is on permanent display in the museum, Jam Nola. She blissfully creates full-time at her home studio in the heart of New Orleans.
Stein received her Bachelors in Fine Art at College of Charleston, where she specialized in painting. Stein’s solo shows have included The Womb Room (Art Klub, 2019), Relationships (Art Klub, 2017) and Exoskeletons (Roses Manor, 2015). Her works have been published in Very Local Nola, Modern Instincts, Charleston Art Mag and others.
